The Sally Southerland Educational and Charitable Fund

In Remembrance of Miss Sally Southerland, Teacher, supporter of Scottish heritage, and founder of The Clan Sutherland Society of North America, Inc.

The Sally Southerland Educational and Charitable Fund (SSECF) was established by the Clan Sutherland Society of North America, Inc. to promote and foster the relationship between Scotland and North America. The SSECF is a not-for-profit corporation and has an IRS 501 (c)(3) status, which means that contributions to the Fund are tax deductible for any American citizen desiring to contribute.

Goals: The preservation of Scottish traditions, development of cultural pride and the encouragement of a closer bond between Scots in North America and Scotland are basic goals and ideals of the fund.

Purpose: The primary purpose of the fund is to provide funding for endeavors that will promote Scottish culture in all its many and varied manifestations.

Recipients: Beneficiaries or recipients of the fund will usually be members of the Clan Sutherland Society of North America, Inc., however the benefits of the fund will be made equally available, at the discretion of the Board of Directors, to any person whose goal is compatible with the basic intent of the Fund.
